Shoes on a Path to Education
Updated: Apr 22, 2021
The weather isn’t always sunny and the road is not always smooth, physically and metaphorically.

Many children in South Africa walk to school, some travel many miles by foot to get to school. This is no different for the many orphan and vulnerable children that attend our After-school Clubs. These children often have no shoes or badly worn shoes. They may not have a uniform or only part of a uniform and they may not be able to pay the small amount of school fees.
Shoes are important not only for comfort and to protect the feet. They reduce stigma and are the building blocks of self esteem.
If you look good,
if you feel good,
then you will want to go to school…

For this reason Za Foundation fund school shoes and school uniform and when necessary, school fees.
